Grant Terms & Conditions

By applying for Sabio’s Campaign for Change grant, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions. 

Grants can be attributed to an organisation. If the applicant’s key contact changes their place of employment during the judging process, they must advise Sabio at [email protected]. 

All accompanying materials must comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act (www.privacy.gov.au) and the Copyright Act (www.copyright.com.au). 

Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted no later than the specified closing dates. Under no circumstances will entries be accepted after the closing deadline. 

Judges have discretion in assessing applications, applying the judging criteria, terms and conditions and determining the recommended results. Sabio’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered in relation to decisions made. Judges’ comments/ feedback may be made available to all applications after the grant/s are awarded. 

The assessment, conduct and results of the grant will not create any legal obligation between applicants and Sabio. 

Judges are expected to declare any potential conflicts of interest and step aside from judging an entry where any conflict may occur. 

If an applicant who is judged a grant recipient is subsequently found to have failed to satisfy or abide by the terms and conditions, they will not be entitled to the relevant award and their application to the Sabio Campaign for Change Grant program will no longer be applicable. Consequently, Sabio may present the relevant grant to another application or choose not to present the grant at all.  

By applying for the Sabio Campaign for Change Grant, each entrant acknowledges that their application is true, accurate, complete and original work, that any intellectual property rights arising in connection with that entry rest with the entrant and that the entry does not interfere with any third-party rights. 

Sabio reserves the right to decline a submission or to disqualify an application at its absolute discretion, including, but not limited to, a situation in which the applicant or a related person is under ethical investigation by Sabio or where the acceptance of the submission may otherwise be detrimental to the objectives of Sabio’s grant program. 

Sabio reserves the right to reproduce campaign outcomes with the aim of furthering excellence in marketing and communications, providing relevant materials for students and the profession. 

The entry document and supporting material may be used, excluding any information noted as CONFIDENTIAL. 

Sabio, employees, officers and agents do not accept any liability, however arising, including liability for negligence, for any accident, loss, injury or damage arising at any time out of or in connection with this awards program, except for any liability that cannot, by law, be excluded. 

 Sabio reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions in any way, at any time, before the closing date for the grant submission. Applications for the Sabio Campaign for Change Grant will be notified of any such amendments prior to the closing date. 

Entrants who breach any of these terms and conditions are subject to disqualification. 

The Grant value is not redeemable for cash. 

The judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into. 

Grant criteria 

  • Maximum services grant value of $5,000 or $10,000 will be awarded to an organisation towards a significant campaign or project outlined in the submission form.  
  • The Grant can support either the full value of the campaign or part value of the campaign. 
  • If the Grant is only supporting part of the value of the campaign, Sabio will invoice the remaining amount to the entrant 
  • Each separate event / project / proposal requires a separate grant application. 
  • The Grant Submission must demonstrate the campaign or project’s positive impact on the Australian community. 
  • The Grant Submission must confirm when the project or campaign begins (Commencement Date) and ends (Completion Date). 
  • The entrant must be a registered business entity in Australia. 
  • The entrant must be available to meet with Sabio in person, at 12 Gordon Street, Newstead, QLD, 4006, to discuss the project if shortlisted.
  • Operational capacity to effectively utilise the services offered by Sabio, includes appropriate staff and services to implement and benefit from the services provided.  
  • The entrants main operations must occur in Australia.
  • The campaign must be executed within the financial year.

Ineligible grant expenditure requests 

  • Events, campaigns, and projects related to political parties 
  • Any third-party costs including incidental expenses, advertising spends, accommodation or flights, gifts 

Please note that the applicant is welcome to self-fund the aforementioned expenses, should they deem them important or necessary.
